This beautiful Kentucky side table is "fresh" out of a home in Bath County, Kentucky. It is made from solid cherry with a single dovetailed drawer and gorgeous turned legs in the typical Kentucky form. The drawer front has an incised edge and a turned knob pull. This is a very solid, well constructed table in original "as found" condition. The single board top measures approximately 19" by 19". It has an early age crack but is still quite secure, with its original six wooden pegs holding it in place. The table has nice height, measuring 29-3/4". Other than being cleaned the surface is original and has not been tampered with.
The dovetailed drawer has a hand planed bottom. This is a fantastic early Kentucky table with a wonderful patina. Ca. 1820-1830.
