This lovely cherry Kentucky chest of drawers  has beautiful porportions, with one large drawer over three graduated drawers,and block and reeded corner post that end in delicately turned legs.  The top has an applied edge molding and each drawer is finely dovetailed.  But the best part of its  appearance is the fine scalloped apron with a cresent moon inlay for distinction.  The brasses may be later  replace-ments, not certain, but still have the correct period appearance.  The chest measures 41" wide by 21-1/2" deep by 44" tall. 

A very fine piece of Southern American furniture!

(turned legs have repairs to early splits, but quite solid)
