​Early Painted Basket

This early basket retains a heavy paint gray, with tiny remnants of white and black.  This basket is somewhat heavy for its size. It has a nice tight weave and a double-wrapped rim.  Notice the nice kick-up on the inside.  Scattered, very minor, imperfections.  See photos.  Measuring 9 1/2" to 10" wide (very slightly out of round) by 9 1/2" to top of handle.  A fine early painted basket!
