This very folky dog hooked rug is a wonderful example of true turn-of-the-century folk art, depicting a dog, done in muted earth-tone colors.  It is done in the "Waldoboro Style"with raised elements, but it is not a Waldoboro.  It has been professionally mounted and is ready to display.  Found in Maryland, not far from the Pennsylvania border.  A terrific piece of American Folk Art!
