Early Composition Squeak Toy

This early composition Squeak toy is in the form of a duck.  It still retains its vibrant colors, with the wings appearing to have gold leaf on them.  It is mounted on a wooden base, sides covered with soft kid leather. The squeak mechanism is not working, but it is still an unusual example.  Measuring 4 1/4" w by 2 1/4" d by 4 1/2" t.  Germany, ca 1860.
