Finely Carved Eagle Ornament

This fine little carved eagle was most likely an architectural ornament or possibly off the crest of a piece of furniture.  Carved out of walnut, with two small mounting blocks on the back.  In fine, as-found condition.  Measuring just 13 1/4" wide by 4 3/8" tall, with a board thickness of 3/4" (not counting the small blocks).
